Driver's License

We went to Winchester to get our driver's licenses today. We are now official Kentucky residents. Afterward we went to Lexington. We ate lunch at the Cici's Pizza and stopped at the big Lowe's. We were looking for a shoe store for Lisa but it was out of business. We did stop at Barnes and Noble and Petsmart. We had to take a picture of the new lines they painted on Wade's Mill road. They did all of US 60 but the part out by us was the worse.

Cici's Pizza. The young manager thought we were old and gave us the senior discount. Kind of a bummer but we saved $4. The highway crew was a little intoxicated, I think.

I got my hair cut too.

Yumm, Cici's! Apparently the line painters missed the "how to paint a straight line" part of their training.

I wonder if they will actually leave the road looking like that or if they will come back and fix it?! That is a total crack up!

Maybe instead of walking a straight line, they test for DUI by having them paint lines on the road.

Hey, Jim! They got the address "wrong" on your driver's license. It says Winchester. You better tell the mail man, the title company and the driver's license office to get together!

We noticed that too. The electric bill we gave them to prove we lived there said Mt. Sterling. We asked the DMV lady and she said she had to put Winchester since we live in Clark County. We told her if they mail us anything it won't get to us. I think it had somethig to do with voter registration and 911 service too.

Did you show the DMV that picture of you taking a picture while driving?

I'll have you know that when I took that picture of the lines in the highway I had pulled to the shoulder of the road, come to a complete stop, deployed my reflective marker kit and lit 3 highway flares. Only then did I get back in the car (safety first) and lean out to take the photograph.
