We went to the Farmer's Market in Lexington this morning. It was great! We had so much fun walking up and down the street looking at all the wonderful vegetables and fruit. We bought plenty to take home with us. We got collard greens, squash, cucumbers, peaches and green beans. There were also people with baked and canned goods. We got a loaf of salt-rising bread. I couldn't remember the last time I had salt-rising bread. I do remember getting it in a bakery in North Carolina when I was a kid and eating it toasted with butter. We toasted some as soon as we got home and ate it with butter. It was as good as I remembered.
Views from the parking garage. The Fifth Third bank opens their garage for the market. Free parking.

Glad you had a good time. It looks bigger than ours. That is one weekend a month.
Oh send me some collars. I can't find any here
The downtown farmer's market is every Saturday. They have it on Sunday and Tuesday at a different location. We heard that Saturdays were the best time to go.
OH! How I miss a good farmer's market! What great looking veggies!
