I'm on call again this week. They called me three times in the wee hours to fix servers. The last time was this morning at around 8:30 and I made them call one of the on-duty engineers. I spent most of the morning after that installing Fedora 9 on the laptop. The installation went smoothly but I had to compile the wireless adapter drivers and naturally the gcc compiler wasn't installed. I had chosen not to install any developer packages and that's where it is. No biggie I just downloaded it and was able to compile the drivers.
Then it was back to the honey-do list. I'm not complaining. I actually like doing this stuff. Lisa wanted some shelves on the walls in the dining room. I put up the high ones first. We might add some lower as well if we like these.
First we need to get the tools together. Then it's leveling the shelf position. I'm using my OLD drill. When I thought about it I realized I've had that drill for nearly twenty years. It was making some loud whining noises and kind of rattling.
Measuring to get the brackets in the right spot.
First one up and already with stuff on it. Green glass stuff on this one.
The second shelf goes up. Then it was to the bathroom. We needed some towel rods in there.
Reading the instructions. (sure I was)
We went shopping. I had to replace my ancient drill. And we got a little Maltese cake. It looks like Tiffany! Of course if it really was Tiffany it would have a pink bow. It was two cupcakes under the frosting.
