We did a few things today. It was really hot outside. Too hot to do much. I did get the mowing done with the push mower and line trimmer. Also screwed in the big anchor for the shed. If Hannah comes this way we want it to be tied down. The stray dogs got in the garbage again so we had to go down to the road and clean it up before the garbage guys came. I got the old lamp fixed. It's the one that was in the house in North Carolina. It must be an antique by now. A genuine antique lamp being fixed by a genuine antique person.
Disassembly was harder than I thought it would be. The age had it pretty well stuck together.
The new wire kept getting stuck and binding up so I got some light
mono-filament and a small fishing sinker. That did the trick.
I had to replace one of the wire nuts. It looked like someone may have repaired this lamp in the past.
My work here is done.
