My main goal today was getting the cabinet hung on the wall and the workbench made. The main function of the work bench will be to hold the grinder and vise. I need the grinder to sharpen the mower blades. It seems to be getting a lot of use and the blades are getting dull. And I need the vise to hold stuff tightly.
The writing on the shirt I'm wearing is black when you look at it without a flash. It's reflective. Mark Greenwell gave me that shirt. He's in the Army with Cathryn.
First, prep the site. Set up the saw horses.
I put the extra doors and some other things up in the rafters.
There were some light bulbs burned out so I replaced them.
More site work. I had to move the anvil too. It's actually a chunk of railroad rail. Quite heavy.
Using the wagon to haul in the materials from the truck. Sweeping up the dead bugs and dirt.
Measure once and cut twice.
Cut twice measure three times. How does it go again? Hanging the ledger board for the cabinet.
Using the block and tackle to lift the cabinet.
Screwing the cabinet into the wall. The cabinet is up and I was putting away the block and tackle.
Cutting and fastening the work bench.
The frame is ready to receive the shelving.
Fastening the top. Sweeping up the sawdust.
All done. SGT Greenwell in Iraq. That's what the shirt looks like without a flash.

Gee, Jim... How come your shirt is sweatier than his and he is in Iraq??
The garage is looking great!
Iraq is a DRY heat. Kathy can explain that. It's a desert thing.
